God is a Spirit, He is not flesh.
When Moses requested to see God, he was translated to be able to behold God's backside.
Moses was hidden in a rock (Jesus was the rock,1 Corinthians 10:4) because no flesh can see God and live.
Our limitation in accessing God is our mortal flesh.
Moses saw God in the preincarnate Jesus.
Moses was the law giver but, in order to access divinity he was brought to grace (Jesus is the custodian and the dispenser of Grace)
Nobody can access God on their own merit.
*And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:*
*And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:*
*And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.*
Exodus 33:21-23.
You must admit the limitations of mortality to be brought into immortality.
God's presence is for immortals, that is why no flesh survives His presence.
No amount of fleshly energy can access God.
All activities of the flesh and in the flesh is offensive to the Spirit of grace.
*The first key to accessing God's presence is total reliance on the grace of God.*
Moses was God's man, He is the symbol of the old testament,the law of perfection but, he was hidden in grace to see God.
Moses request for God's presence in Exodus 33:14,15 can only be answered in Christ (our rock of salvation).
Moses was brought to the new testament, the grace of God to enjoy the presence of God.
You can't be legalistic and be a custodian of God's presence.
*“For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”Philippians 3:3*
You must lose confidence in the flesh to carry the shekina glory of God.
I mean flesh in all its ramifications; be it self righteousness or self gratification.
Total reliance on the grace of God is the first step to becoming a custodian of God's presence.
Hence the two secrets to accessing God's presence are:
(1) Reliance on God's Grace
(2)The fellowship of the Spirit.
*The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.2 Corinthians 13:14*
Grace opens the door to God's presence but the Spirit is the transmission.
Jesus(the Grace of God) is the Custodian of God's presence but The Holy Spirit(The Spirit of God) is the Conveyer.
Until you know how to fellowship with the Holy Spirit your Christianity will lack divine presence.
Jesus told His disciples, it is better He leaves them for the Holy Spirit to take over.
Don't be stock at the Cross, move on to Pentecost.
The cross gave us Redemption and Pentecost gave us Baptism.
The Cross opens the door and Pentecost brought us in and gave us a place in God.
Thank God eternally for Jesus but,we need the Holy Spirit to baptize us with divinity.
If we want to showcase God to our generation we need the Holy Spirit.
If God's Presence is our Obsession,We Must Get Intimate With The Spirit Of Grace.
*And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;*
*Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.*
John 14:16,17.
